Francis D. Pastorius – Mastery Charter School opened in August 2013. The school serves 600 students from kindergarten to eighth grade. It is located in the Germantown area of Philadelphia.
The School Advisory Committee selected Mastery Charter to restart the school in May 2013. This was part of the School District of Philadelphia’s Renaissance Program. Almost everything changed as a part of the initiative:
The classrooms are centered on student achievement. Scores increased as a result of rigorous curriculum, progress monitoring, and high expectations. Academic data is below:
